What We Do

Play Therapy
Play therapists hold the belief that harnessing the therapeutic potential of play can enhance the therapeutic relationship with children. This approach builds a connection between the therapist and the young client through the enjoyment of shared play experiences. Furthermore, play serves as a medium for effective communication, predominantly through metaphorical expressions but occasionally through direct verbal interactions. Through this dynamic interaction, play therapists can effectively support the exploration of the child’s beliefs concerning themselves, others, and the world.

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapeutic treatment originally formulated to alleviate the emotional distress linked with traumatic memories (Shapiro, 1989a, 1989b).

Psychotherapy
Talk therapy extends beyond mere conversation about personal issues; it’s a proactive process aimed at finding solutions. In some therapeutic contexts, homework assignments may be assigned, such as monitoring your emotional states, journaling your thoughts, or engaging in social activities that have previously triggered anxiety. You may also be prompted to adopt alternative perspectives or acquire fresh strategies for responding to life events and interactions with others.

Chemical Dependency
Chemical dependency denotes an addiction to substances that alter mood or cognition. Professionals in chemical dependency counseling assist individuals grappling with drug dependency in breaking free from the clutches of addiction. The predominant approach in chemical dependency treatment is motivational interviewing (MI), a counseling technique centered on bolstering a patient’s motivation for transformation. This method is collaborative in nature. In chemical dependency counseling, evidence-based practices are employed to support clients throughout every phase of their recovery voyage.
